Squirrel-Proof Metal Bird Feeder

Enjoy more birds and fewer raids with the Squirrel-Proof Metal Bird Feeder from Velveranda. A weight-activated perch reacts when something heavier than a bird climbs on, helping to keep squirrels away from the seed while smaller visitors feed in peace.

Four feeding ports let several birds eat at the same time, turning your yard into a lively spot to watch from the kitchen window or patio. The sturdy metal frame stands up to weather and chewing far better than plastic, and the large reservoir holds plenty of seed, so you refill it less often. At about 2.27 kg, it hangs steadily from a branch, pole or hook. Choose the version with a standard core or an extended core.

Hang the feeder from a strong support well away from fences, roofs and branches that squirrels can jump from. Follow the included instructions to set up the perch mechanism, and check it regularly to make sure it moves freely. No feeder can stop every determined squirrel, so placement makes a real difference. Empty and clean the feeder every couple of weeks, and let it dry before refilling, to keep seed fresh and help protect birds from disease. It makes a lovely gift for bird watchers and gardeners of all ages.
